“Things aren’t always as they seem; skim milk masquerades as cream.”

  • W. S. Gilbert & Arthur Sullivan, “H.M.S. Pinafore” (1878)

You may think you know, but you may be wrong.

Here are a handful of short encounters that illustrate this. The acting may not always be the best in some of the videos, but it is the thought that counts, is it not? As has been written, love covers a multitude of shortcomings.

I have tried to choose relatively short videos.

Please don’t mind the ads. You can skip them.

I cannot aver these stories are true. But, then again, I cannot say they are not. Truth is sometimes stranger than fiction.

1. A rich man masquerades as homeless:

A billionaire disguises himself as a homeless beggar on a city street. Many, for a variety of reasons (they have their own problems, they are too busy, his appearance disgusts them, etc.) pass him by.

Finally, one man, Frank, stops and shares his bread, Coke and pâté with the ‘beggar.’ It seems Frank knows what it is to be hungry.

For his kindness, Frank is rewarded in a way that transforms his life.
