The Biden Administration is asking the U.K. to extradite Australian Julian Assange, founder of WikiLeaks.

You can read about it here:

Whether England is prepared to comply is suppositional. Assange may be skating on thin ice.

He actually has been for some time. He previously sought and obtained asylum in the embassy of Ecuador. In 2012 he entered the embassy in London and stayed there close to 7 years.

In April, 2019, Ecuador kicked him out because of ‘discourteous and aggressive behavior.’ It seems Assange should have known better. Biting the hand that feeds you is usually a bad idea. Notably, Assange apparently did not disagree with Ecuador’s assessment.

The British police, with the consent of Ecuador and without the consent of Assange, then arrested him in the embassy.

In January, 2021, a British court judge blocked extradition of Assange because he was deemed a suicide risk were he to be transferred into the custody of the U.S.
