Pope Francis

Some well-intentioned individuals have, with the interest of stopping the Russian invasion of Ukraine, called on the pope to interject himself into the equation.

Which, according to Russian arithmetic, is often this:

2 + 2 = 5, or something other than 2 + 2 = 4

Some of the latest news about the pontiff is he has blamed NATO for the invasion of Ukraine. Using a canine metaphor, he said NATO was barking at Putin’s door.

See here:

According to the link, the Holy See has sought a meeting with Vladimir Putin since mid-March.

It has been over 6 weeks since that time.

What could be more important than a cease-fire in a war that has been estimated to be costing Russia $20B/day, not to mention the loss of troops?

Ah, the lack of their inclusion tells us how much they are valued by the motherland’s Russian leaders.

One can draw only one conclusion: Putin is not ready to meet the pope.
