Whew.
It’s finally over.
Many breathe a collective sigh of relief.
They welcome a return to some semblance of what many perceive as normalcy.
The former POTUS has vacated the White House and a new POTUS has taken the reins.
Over the river and through the wood, the sleigh may actually make it to grandma’s by Thanksgiving.
Joe Biden has wasted no time. He has hit the ground running.
His executive actions since assuming office have been breathtaking in number and scope.
Many are designed to reverse the decisions of his predecessor.
The plate of this POTUS is as full as that of any in recent memory.
In addition to a wide assortment of issues with which Congress has to contend, there is that of impeachment of the last POTUS. No other POTUS has been impeached twice. New ground is being broken.
Paperwork has moved from the House to the Senate.
I want to make some observations about the impending impeachment. Donald Trump’s first impeachment in early 2020 was unsuccessful.
I think it quite possible, even probable, that this attempt, too, will fail and he will not be convicted.
