Much as news such as this may be uplifting to those supportive of Ukraine in its effort to resist and repel the relentless march of the Russian bear in Russia’s effort to deNazify, demilitarize, and rescue people of like mind oppressed by the democracy of Ukraine, there may be cogent reasons for not reporting such:

Reportage of this type is undeniably morale boosting and heartwarming to Ukrainians and their supporters.

It shows the lengths to which Ukrainians will go to defend their homeland and the creativity they bring to bear in the process.

But is it worth it?

Is it worth putting the lives of the young man with the drone (and likely his family) at risk?

His name and visage are in print, for all to see.

Do not for a minute think this type of news escapes the cunning eyes of Russians, some who dwell in the shadows, some in darkened rooms, perhaps hackers whose main purpose is to create mischief.

They will note who is perpetrating these deeds, who is bringing the fight to the Russian military.

And they probably do not forgive easily, if at all.
