Probably many unsung heroes we will never know about. Precisely because they are unsung. We often go to our graves without hearing their song.
That is too bad, because heroes deserve recognition. When we learn about them, we often learn something. Something that may make us better people.
One such hero I only learned about recently when I watched a PBS TV program called “The Codebreaker.”
It features a woman named Elizebeth (spelling correct) Smith Friedman (1892–1980).

You may want to at least watch the trailer, which is under 1.5’ long. The full episode lasts a bit over 52’. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
Because of what was available at the time, the documentary is black and white.
I don’t consider that a flaw.
