“Imagination is more important than knowledge.”
- Albert Einstein
With COVID-19, we are living in unusual times, unprecedented for many. With the uncertainty, these times are even perilous. Particularly for some.
Being self-quarantined, I’ve had the opportunity to relive moments from the past.
I have been watching more NETFLIX programs than usual. One series I happened upon is THE TWILIGHT ZONE, in the sci-fi genre.
Written and narrated by Rod Serling, the series was popular in 1959. I was too young to appreciate it. Plus our family lacked a TV.
One of the most imaginative and creative TV shows, it opens this way with a narration:
“There is a 5th dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition. It lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.”
I have only started viewing the series.
And, although it is not even numbered among the best of the 250 episodes, the 2nd episode of season 1 stood out. It is called ‘One for the Angels.’
