“Miracles happen to those who believe in them.”

  • Bernard Berenson (1865–1959), American art historian

Holy Writ contains numerous examples of miracles, including (but not limited to):

The translation of Enoch and Elijah

The orderly march of animals into Noah’s ark

The Great Deluge

The gift of dream interpretation given to Joseph and Daniel

The burning bush (that wasn’t consumed by fire) that marked the call of Moses

The plagues visited upon Egypt prior to the Exodus

The parting of the Red Sea

Manna

Durability of sandals of the children of Israel

The healing of those snake bitten by gazing upon the brass serpent made by Moses in the wilderness

The rock that emitted water in the desert during the 4-decade long sojourn of the Israelites

The fall of Jericho

The preservation of the 3 Hebrew worthies in the fiery furnace of Nebuchadnezzar

Daniel’s not being eaten in the lions’ den

Speech given to Balaam’s donkey

The feeding of Elijah by ravens by the brook Cherith during the multiyear drought in the reign…
