On October 2, 2018 Jamal Ahmad Khashoggi entered the Saudi Arabian embassy in Istanbul, Turkey. Intending to marry, he was lured with the prospect of being provided some paperwork. He never left the embassy alive.

Instead, inside the embassy, he was ambushed, suffocated and dismembered by a 15-man Saudi hit squad.

Why?

Khashoggi, a former Washington Post journalist and dissident, had the bad judgment to write some unflattering articles about Saudi Arabia. For that he paid with his life.
