This in recent news:
Amy Cooper, 41, a white woman, was arrested last year for calling 911 on a black birdwatcher in Central Park, NYC.
Cooper was walking her cocker spaniel without a leash on May 25 in the Ramble, a secluded section of Central Park popular with birdwatchers, the same day George Floyd, a black man, was killed by Minneapolis law enforcement. The dog was apparently rambunctious (perhaps kept indoors too long) and tore through the plantings.
Christian Cooper (no relation; male) asked Cooper (female) to leash her dog and take it elsewhere.
She refused.
Whereupon Chris Cooper pulled out dog treats.
Whereupon Amy Cooper screamed at him not to come near her dog.
Ms. Cooper then called 911 and said she was being threatened by Christian, saying he had tried to assault her.
