Not long ago, I suggested that powers that be consider contacting none other than Elon Musk to attempt to mediate a truce between Russia and Ukraine.
Musk is the one person I thought might have the brainpower to pull it off. I thought he might have both the requisite knowledge and imagination, the ability to look at the conflict through the lens of a visionary (which he surely is, based on the number of companies he has brought to fruition). Looking through that lens might help bring about a truce.
I do not know if this has happened. I rather doubt it.
I do not use drugs, other than something to help me sleep. And, although it is a drug, I have been taking it so long I can reliably predict its side effects.
Vivid dreams is not one of them.
So I was astonished to learn that Musk has, via the platform Twitter, challenged Vladimir Putin to single combat. The prize? Ukraine. I had no idea brawn might be a substitute for brain.
The challenge has, as of this writing, already garnered over 200,000 responses. It is only bound to gather more.
