Recent news: Amanda Gordon is suspicious. For what? Why? We can only surmise.
U. S. National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gordon knocked it out of the park on Presidential Inauguration Day with her reading of her own poem, “The Hill We Climb.”
She was also the first person to recite a poem at this year’s Superbowl, when, at Superbowl LV, she recited another original poem, “Chorus of the Captains.”
She was recently tailed by a security guard in Los Angeles and asked about the building she was about to enter. She lives there, and showed the guard her keys. When she asked why she was being followed, she was told she looked suspicious.
After she buzzed herself in, the security guard left without an apology.

Is an apology so difficult?
Apparently for some people.
Everyone makes mistakes.
Some just never admit to them.
Particularly to those they offended.
