A Way Out? Maybe

There is currently much hand wringing and consternation on the part of Democrats and others who ostensibly have the good of the nation at heart, having to do with the competency of Joe Biden to serve as POTUS, not only now but for the forthcoming 4 years.

Some (including The New York TIMES) have called for Biden to stand down in favor of a younger Democratic candidate who may be able to beat his Republican opponent for POTUS, Donald Trump.

They maintain the very bedrock upon which America was founded, democracy itself, is at stake.

And they may not exaggerate.

Our country is 248 years old as of 6 days ago.

Some would like to see it continue for at least a few more years.

Others have maintained support for Biden.

This conundrum seems to have no easy solution.

And there is not much time left.

What to do?

Trump and company seem to take this all in with glee.

It seems they relish the thought of running against Biden, whose performance in the first debate against the Orange One was considerably this side of stellar.

Biden’s performance did nothing to improve his chances in the forthcoming election, which is now less than 4 months away.

If anything, the opposite.

Having given the matter some thought, here’s what I propose.
