Despite its potentially astronomical (almost infinite number of) moves in a chess game, there are only 3 outcomes:
1 player wins or there is a draw (stalemate).
So it seems with the current Russian invasion of Ukraine: only 3 outcomes.
One of the protagonists will win or there will be a draw.
And this possibly only after years of conflict (according to military experts, including American).
They have been quoted as saying as much.
Much is at stake.
Our Ukrainian friends have been reminding us virtually from the 1st time Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, has sought weaponry from the West.
He is not asking for boots on Ukrainian soil.
As Winston Churchill pleaded to the USA during WWII in a February 9, 1941 speech: “Give use the tools and we will finish the job.”
This is the similar ask from Zelensky.
He is no longer asking for a no-fly zone.
It does not appear to be forthcoming.
He knows how to massage the media.
Perhaps from his years of standup comedy before he was elected President of Ukraine.
